Waited 2 weeks after taxes were supposed to be done. Called to question why they weren't ready. Was told the preparer would call me back. That was mid last week. No response.

Tax Pro's are the revenue makers and monkey managers of hr block even took away their trash cans. So where does trash go? on the floor? They hire these monkeys that don't know anything to run the company. No wonder they only have 1.5 stars out of 5 stars.

This review is about their software.

I chose this software at Office Depot and it's been a horrible experience. The software installed OK and the software for personal filing worked fine. The problem has centered around their business 2018 software. It installed but it won't run. When opening, it hangs for 4 to 5 minutes - you get the spinning circle thing - then an error message pops up and the program immediately closes. The error message does not stay on screen for long enough to even read it or take a screen shot of it! Which brings me to their tech support.

I did an online support "chat" to try to resolve the issue and that person had me re-install the software and try it again - didn't work. He sent me a link with the newest version and I uninstalled/re-installed another time. Didn't work. Finally, this person wrote that they were "escalating" me to the next level of support. I asked when I would be contacted. They did not answer my question, just repeating their last statement and then they disconnected the chat! Boom!

After 2 days, I called them on the phone (instead of usinf their "chat"). This person had me repeat the uninstall/re-install twice. Same problem. Finally, this person said they were escalating me to their "tier 3" support and said I would be contacted within 24 hours. Several days went by without hearing anything, so I had to file for an extension! Still no contact. I called them again, after a week since my phone conversation and, after explaining everything to yet another person and answering questions I had already given answers to multiple times, that person said they were "re-escalating" me and gave me a new case number. And now, I'm waiting for contact from them again. This is ridiculous.

I recommend not using their software! Use TurboTax or do it yourself or something.

Absolutely worst website on this freakin earth. What kind of company makes a website that leads you through your state tax then when you are FINISHED with it the tell you to pay or they'll delete it??!! Freaking tell me before i waste my time you are a bunch of idiotic money obsessed jerks. Cry about your lives and how no one loves you you stupid H&R block people.

Never again wil I return. I have used them over 30 years, paid the higher price because that I was paying for knowledge and experience .I came to pick up and file my taxes this year to not only find my return laying open on an unmanned recpt desk for everyone to see but was then insulted by offering my 50 off because of this error. My tax prep should have been free and I should have been offered a life like reimbursement since no one in the office knew how long they had been setting there and how many people see my soc sec number . The have lost my business for good and any one else I can convince to not return and pay the high fees !!!!!!!!!!!

Easy to use and understand. Site is set up simply and is user friendly. Lets you know what forms are required for your particular tax needs. I would use this program again.
