Anteon

Anteon International Corporation was an information technology and advanced engineering services company based in Fairfax, Virginia. Founded in 1976, it primarily served U.S. government clients, focusing on defense and high-risk sectors. Anteon specialized in IT solutions, simulators, and training services, including military interrogator training. The company operated a data center in Westminster, Colorado, and had multiple offices, employing approximately 8,600 people across over 100 locations. Anteon was known for its tailored IT and computer support for federal government needs, particularly in defense-related projects. By 2003, the company reported revenues exceeding 1 billion and had a contract backlog valued at 5.6 billion. Anteon expanded its capabilities through acquisitions, including Information Spectrum Inc. and Veridian. In 2006, it was acquired by General Dynamics Network Systems and subsequently renamed General Dynamics Information Technology, concluding its independent operations.
