I have had a number of technical issues with the running of a wordpress installation hosted on bargain hosts. Every time I contacted technical support I received a prompt and helpful reply which helped resolve the issue. I have had similar contact with other webhosting companies which I cannot praise in the same way. I often feel that their responses are “copy and paste” and usually direct you to some prewritten advice. Not so with bargain hosts, their responses take time to look at your issue. In fact I was having a persistent problem with the speed of the admin pages of wordpress and error pages when switching between pages - the site was moved to a more powerful server at no extra cost to me which resolved all the speed problems I was having. Overall, I cannot recommend bargain hosts highly enough. Defiantly recommend them.

I am amazed that a company like this can practically give away their service and still keep a stella team in technical support. Not that I’ve needed support very often. I have found their services to have practically no downtime in my experience and all of their services to be of the highest quality. When I have contacted support, they have gone above and beyond to help me in a speedy, professional and friendly manner. Often doing many things that they didn’t even have to. Deeply impressive! BargainHost was a pioneer of domain names and sites when it started and it has continued to give what is arguably the best web service in the UK. And I should know… I bought my first domain from them in 2004. Do not hesitate to use this company, it is truly a 5 *****star service.

AWFUL! Avoid this company at all costs- I can't speak badly enough about them! They block my IP address on average every 2 days then blame my passwords (nothing wrong with my passwords) so I cannot get on my own sites, they let a hacker through their firewall who downloaded spam to all my customers who went on my site, they have randomly changed the theme of my website whilst trying to fix it for various issues (didn't fix the problems) and their customer service is limited to about three prewritten responses which are not specific to any issue! Flabbergasted as to how on earth this company is still going?! the time I have wasted with them is not worth the cheap prices. Wish I could give them 0/5.

Like all internet based company's Bargain Host are reluctant to speak to their customers! However, once I persuaded them to speak to me I was looked after by James Innes who was exceptional! James nursed my problem through to it's conclusion in a way that just doesn't happen on many occasions! I say promote him give him a pay rise and make certain that you don't loose him! Seriously if was running Bargain Host I would lock James in a room along with some trainees with a phone and instead of being customer shy I would invite the world to speak to him if they are having issues. I'm willing to bet that you would very quickly become the worlds most loved ISP!!
