Wanda

Wanda is a remote monitoring healthcare analytics and management company for primary care patients with chronic diseases. The Remote Monitoring System (RMS) channels data from patients’ home to the WANDA analytics module which highlights to clinicians which are high risk allowing action to be taken before they have an adverse event, potentially reducing hospitalisation rates. Wanda brings to life personalised medicine combined with secure computing and revolutionary data-mining and analytics which represent a paradigm shift in modern healthcare. Globally, 75 per cent of all healthcare costs are attributable to chronic diseases, with heart failure, coronary vascular disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and diabetes amongst the most costly. In 2010, the United States spent 17.6 per cent of its gross domestic product on healthcare, whilst the United Kingdom spent 9.6 per cent. A 2011 report from the World Economic Forum further predicts that if there were no change to chronic disease management, overall global healthcare costs up until 2030 will result in a cumulative output loss of $47 trillion, roughly 75 per cent of global GDP in 2010.
