Five years solo and the thing that keeps me locked into Zoho People is how cleanly it talks to everything else I rely on. The Zoho CRM connection alone is worth it. I log time against client projects in People and it surfaces exactly where I need it in CRM, no copy-paste, no reconciliation headache. The forms are flexible enough that I customized my onboarding checklist for contract workers in about an hour.
The automation workflows stack well with third-party tools through Zoho Flow, which I did not expect to rely on this much. For a freelancer juggling multiple clients, that kind of quiet connectivity is genuinely what makes or breaks a platform.
