Switched to Browshot about three and a half years ago after getting fed up with the service I was using before. That one kept timing out on long pages, would silently fail on certain viewport sizes, and the API documentation read like it was written as an afterthought. Browshot fixed almost all of that immediately. Full-page captures actually complete. The browser and device combinations are genuinely useful when a client wants proof of how their site renders on something other than Chrome desktop, and the API is clean enough that I had it wired into my delivery workflow within an afternoon.
What actually impressed me after switching was the consistency. Three-plus years in, and the output quality has stayed steady. No random regressions after updates, no mystery crops on pages with sticky headers. For a solo freelancer who bills clients partly on deliverables that include visual documentation, reliability matters more than flashy new features. The pricing tiers made sense at my volume, which is something I genuinely could not say about the previous tool.
The one gripe, and it is a real one, is the turnaround time on customer support. I've had two or three technical questions over the years where the response came back slowly, or I got a canned reply that didn't quite address what I asked. It worked out each time, but I wouldn't call the support experience a strength. If you're evaluating this and rely on fast back-and-forth when something breaks, keep that in mind. For me, the product is reliable enough that I rarely need help, so it stays in my stack without hesitation.
