Switched over to Xero about two years ago from QuickBooks Desktop and honestly wish we'd done it sooner. Running a small marketing agency with a team of eight, the fact that everyone (including our external accountant) can be in the books at the same time without extra per-user fees has been a game-changer for how we work. The bank feeds are reliable, reconciliation is genuinely quick once you set up the rules, and the reporting gives me the visibility I need to make decisions without having to ping our bookkeeper every time I want to see where we stand.

The integrations are where Xero really earns its keep for us. We've got it connected to Stripe for client payments, Gusto for payroll, HubSpot for our CRM side, and a few project management tools, and everything just talks to each other the way it should. Customer support has been solid the handful of times we've needed it, and the mobile app is actually usable rather than a stripped-down afterthought. Not perfect, inventory is a bit light if you're selling physical products, but for a service business like ours it's been exactly what we needed. Would recommend to any small business owner who's tired of fighting with clunky desktop software.
