Solo for five-plus years with Dext, so I know its quirks well. The admin side is where my feelings get complicated. Setting up supplier rules and client workspaces is genuinely powerful once you figure it out, but "once you figure it out" is doing a lot of heavy lifting in that sentence. Permissions especially. There's no clean way to adjust access levels without clicking through three layers of settings, and the logic isn't always obvious.
The core capture stuff works well, and I'd miss the mobile receipt scanning immediately if it disappeared. But Dext keeps adding features without tidying up the configuration layer underneath. For a solo operator managing a handful of clients, the overhead feels disproportionate.
