The integrations are what made me push for this over every other option on the shortlist. Our scrappy little startup runs on G Suite for everything, MailChimp for outbound campaigns, and a handful of Slack-connected tools, so a CRM that couldn't talk to those was a non-starter. Insightly slots in without any real fuss. Contacts sync across from Gmail, campaign data surfaces inside contact records without me having to export anything, and the REST API let our one developer wire up a couple of custom touchpoints in an afternoon. Six months in, that connected feeling hasn't worn off.
What genuinely impressed me is how visible the integrations are to the whole team, not just to whoever set them up. A junior account exec can open a contact, see the last MailChimp campaign they received, check the email thread history, and pick up the conversation without hunting across three tabs. That saves real time when we're moving fast and people are covering for each other. The mobile app holds up too, which matters when half the team is out at events or client meetings.
The one gripe I'll flag honestly: customer support response times are slower than I'd like. I raised a question about a webhook configuration and waited nearly four days for a useful reply. For a growing team without a dedicated IT person, that lag is noticeable. It hasn't broken anything critical, and the documentation is decent enough to self-serve most issues, but if you're evaluating this and you know your setup will be complex, factor in that support might not move quickly. Overall though, I'd call it the right call for a company our size.
