The subsurface data management module is the reason I keep renewing this for every upstream client I support. Specifically, the data ingestion pipeline handles multiple well log formats without me having to babysit every import. That sounds like a small thing. It isn't. Three years ago I was manually reformatting LAS files before every handoff, and now that entire step is just gone. Cegal clearly built this feature with people who have actually sat in a geoscience workflow, not just developers guessing at requirements.
Running this on behalf of clients rather than in-house adds a layer of complexity most tools don't account for, but Cegal's permission and workspace controls make it easy to keep client environments cleanly separated. Their support team has been genuinely responsive when edge cases come up, which happens more than I'd like when you're juggling multiple operator accounts. The value for what I'm billing clients versus what I'm paying for the platform is hard to argue with.
