Review Summary
Generated using AI from real user reviews
3i Infotech's Orion is a capable enterprise accounting platform with broader scope than many competitors, making it a credible choice for finance teams with complex needs. Users praise its wide feature set spanning general ledger, reporting, compliance, asset management, and multi-currency reconciliation in one system — a genuine advantage for organizations operating across jurisdictions. The core modules are solid and the implementation team is attentive.
The main weakness is support responsiveness, particularly during critical periods like month-end close when delays matter most. Setup of the chart of accounts is time-consuming, and the support team appears stretched thin during peak demand. These friction points are process and capacity issues rather than product flaws. The platform delivers fair value relative to its breadth, though buyers should plan for a real onboarding investment. It's most suitable for BFSI organizations and companies with demanding regulatory reporting requirements.

“The breadth of what Orion covers genuinely caught me off…”
The breadth of what Orion covers genuinely caught me off guard. I was expecting a fairly standard enterprise accounting platform and instead found something that reaches into compliance, asset management workflows, and multi-currency reconciliation all under one roof. For a finance team operating across several jurisdictions, that matters.
Day-to-day, I mostly live in the general ledger and reporting modules. Both are solid. The chart of accounts setup took longer than I'd like — their implementation team is helpful but spread thin, and response times from support can slip during peak periods. That's my main frustration. The product itself isn't the bottleneck; getting timely answers when something breaks at month-end closure is. Value for money feels fair given the scope, though you'll want to budget real time for onboarding. If your organization sits in the BFSI space or has complex regulatory reporting needs, this is worth a serious look.
