What is Compulife Software?
COMPULIFE is a software company which has produced term comparison software for the U.S. market since 1987. Quoting over 100 different life insurance companies, we are a fully independent company, meaning we are not engaged in the sale of life insurance and no life insurance company, agency, or agent has any financial stake in compulife. We are the most objective and unbiased provider of term life insurance rate comparison software in the market. Compulife quotes term products, return of premium term products, and no-lapse UL products. We also quote simplified issue (non-med) and final expense products.

Review Summary
Generated using AI from real user reviews
Compulife is a reliable workhorse for insurance agents who prioritize breadth of carrier access over modern design. The software covers over 100 carriers in a single platform, giving independent agents confidence they're showing clients genuine market range. It handles multiple product types—term, return-of-premium term, no-lapse UL, and simplified issue—in one system, eliminating the need to switch between tools. Technical performance is steady enough for daily quoting.
The main weakness is the dated interface. Users note it feels outdated compared to newer web-based competitors, and the learning curve can be steep for new staff. Rate updates have also occasionally lagged behind market changes. For agents whose workflow centers on fast, broad comparisons across a large carrier base, Compulife delivers; for those prioritizing a modern user experience, the limitations may be noticeable.

“The integration side of this is what made my whole…”
The integration side of this is what made my whole team exhale. Compulife's data feeds plug into the tools my small nonprofit ed team already runs, which is something I honestly didn't expect at this price point. Six months in and the comparison quotes are pulling cleanly into our client-facing materials with almost no manual reformatting. That alone saves us real time every week.
Customer service picked up every question I had during setup. For an organization working on thin margins, having software that talks to the rest of our stack without a consultant in the room is worth a lot.
