Review Summary
Generated using AI from real user reviews
ResumeNerd suffers from pervasive billing transparency problems that undermine otherwise functional resume templates.
Seven of eight reviews centre on unexpected charges and unclear subscription terms. Users report signing up expecting one-time or free access, then discovering recurring monthly debits ($8 to $24.75) without clear advance notice, sometimes totalling hundreds of dollars before they realised. Several mention missing or spam-filtered billing notifications. One reviewer noted her underage daughter was charged $150 over six months and received only a partial refund despite the legal concern.
One four-star review stands out: the user made a similar error ($100 charged instead of $8), but ResumeNerd's customer service reversed it immediately and refunded $92.95. That same reviewer praised the resume templates as ATS-friendly and credited the service with generating "30 interviews in a couple weeks." However, other users criticised the CV format as outdated and non-ATS-compliant. The service itself appears capable, but the subscription model and communication create persistent friction that deters most users, regardless of template quality.

“Their provided CV is not an ATS format and its…”
Their provided CV is not an ATS format and its an outdated module. Also they charge you without any subscription declaration, you will be charged by a 1$ assuming that this is a one time payment, and after a few days they start charging huge amounts on your registered bank card without any prior consent from your end and even they don’t send updating emails. They are a fraud and not recommended CV creators.

“Honestly this service has helped me tremendously. I do understand…”
Honestly this service has helped me tremendously. I do understand the kind of hidden fee thing, as I just misread something and meant to buy an 8 dollar subscription, instead my card was charged 100$. I Immediately called and honestly I didn't even have a wait time for customer service. I can't remember the gentlemen's name who helped me which I regret, but he got me the 8$ a month subscription and refunded me the 92.95 back to my card. The refund was even instant, it's already there. Amazing customer service from my experience, and this resume I've made from the templates I believe is the reason I've been getting really any job with ease. I've gotten like 30 interviews in the last couple weeks, these 1 star reviews I don't think does this site justice. I mean I like it, and will continue to use it. Simple, not free, but cheap as fuck for a good service.

“My teenage daughter was charged a total of almost $150…”
My teenage daughter was charged a total of almost $150 for a service she barely used. She signed up for ResumeNerd in May 2019 to help find a summer job although she lacked the Legal Capacity to sign any contract. She uploaded her resume and then forgot about it. She entered her debit card information because she thought she thought her total charge was $1.75. She did not know she would be charged a monthly fee of $24.75. Emails from Resumenerd went into her spam folder and we didn't realize she was incurring monthly charges for 6 months. I called Resume Nerd and they agreed to only a partial refund.

Do not use this site. They offer a free trial period but at the same time take your credit card number then without notification debit your account for the cost of their full service.
