What is Trucklogger?
Trucklogger is a SaaS company for the trucking industry. Trucklogger has been in business since 2006 and has over 4,000 users of its software. The company is currently involved in migrating the software from PCs to smart phones with a cloud-based back end. We realize there are many electronic logbook systems on the market today, but there are no systems that are designed from the ground up for the Owner / Operator and Small Carrier. We at Trucklogger believe that if you have to do logs, why not use them effectively by making them the foundation for capturing data about your business and using that information to manage both the operation and its profitability.

Review Summary
Generated using AI from real user reviews
Trucklogger offers solid HOS logging with useful data linkage, but execution issues hold it back from being a clear win.
The standout strength is how the platform connects duty-status entries with fuel stops, mileage, and trip costs in a single view—a feature that addresses a real gap for small carriers and owner-operators. Users managing multiple clients appreciate this integrated approach. However, the mobile sync experience is unreliable, with reports of failures mid-trip, and support responsiveness lags when problems occur. The per-seat pricing model also becomes a friction point when onboarding multiple clients, despite being reasonable for solo operators.
The reviewer sees genuine promise in Trucklogger's foundation and design intent, but notes that the product's current delivery is inconsistent. For small carriers willing to work through teething problems, the core logging capabilities may justify the cost; for those needing immediate stability and responsive support, alternatives might be safer.

“The HOS log detail is what I keep coming back…”
The HOS log detail is what I keep coming back to. For the owner-operators I manage, Trucklogger does a genuinely solid job of tying duty-status entries to fuel stops, mileage, and trip cost in one place. That kind of data linkage is exactly what small carriers need and rarely get from simpler e-log tools. Six months of setting this up for clients has made me appreciate the intention behind it.
That said, the mobile migration is still rough. Two of my clients hit sync failures mid-trip, and support response times have been slow. The pricing feels fair for a solo operator, but when I'm onboarding several clients at once, the per-seat structure adds up fast. Promising foundation, uneven execution right now.
