From a MarOps perspective, Mailchimp sits in an awkward middle ground. It's too consumer-oriented for sophisticated B2B nurture programs and too marketer-friendly to integrate cleanly with the kind of pipeline orchestration we need. We use it as our brand newsletter platform while running our actual demand gen on Pardot. The audience model conflicts with our lead lifecycle stages and we've built workarounds. API performance is fine for batch operations. Webhooks are reliable. Where I'd want investment: better support for B2B account-based segmentation and richer event-driven triggers. Customer service has been helpful for technical questions. The platform clearly knows who its core audience is and serves them well. We're an edge case.
